Ministry Purpose & Description
San Jose Council #3474 was established in 1951. The Knights of Columbus is a Catholic men’s service organization guided by the principles of charity, unity, and fraternity. Members of the Knights of Columbus work to overcome the hardships that people face in their parishes and communities. The Council, of which St. Lucy is a part, was formed to help the Catholic Church at multiple levels – parish, diocese, state and national. The Council of St. Lucy Parish includes members from St. Christopher, St. Frances Cabrini, St. Mary (Los Gatos) and Transfiguration. The Knights help with many parish events including the St. Patrick’s Day Corned Beef and Cabbage Dinner, the Thanksgiving Turkey Drive, and the Annual Catholic School Scholarship Award.
If you are male, at least 18 years of age and practice your Catholic faith, being a member of this ministry will help you become more involved with helping the Catholic Church at multiple levels: parish, diocese, state, and national.
