Ministry Purpose & Description
Established in 1995, the Pastoral Council is a body of parishioners interested in representing you, our ‘Body of Christ’, and the communities that make up our parish. The council members help the Parish staff with the continuing development of St. Lucy’s Mission and in envisioning the ways to live out that mission.
El Consejo de la Parroquia es un grupo de feligreses interesados en representarte a ti, nuestro ‘Cuerpo de Cristo’, y las comunidades que conforman nuestra parroquia. Los miembros del consejo ayudan al personal de la parroquia con el desarrollo continuo de la Misión de Santa Lucía y al imaginar las formas de vivir esa mission.
Meeting Frequency and Meeting Place
Once a month.
Members are asked to commit to a 1-year, 2-year or 3-year length of service.

MARCH 2018 NEWS
With several members of the St. Lucy Pastoral Council reaching the end of their Pastoral Council service, we are actively recruiting for the role of Pastoral Council Members. The Pastoral Council is a body of parishioners interested in representing you, our ‘Body of Christ’, and the communities that make up our parish. The council members help the Parish staff with the continuing development of St. Lucy’s Mission and in envisioning the ways to live out that mission. Of special note is that currently our large and vibrant Hispanic community is not well represented on the council. Additionally, the current council lacks representatives from the youth and young adults of our parish. In serving the greater needs of the parish, these situations need to be addressed.
Are you or do you know someone who is:
- A baptized Catholic?
- An active member of St. Lucy Parish?
- At least 16 years of age?
- Looking for opportunities for spiritual growth for yourself and the St. Lucy Parish Community?
- Passionate about helping us achieve the goals set as a result of the 2017 Parish Survey in the areas of Word, Worship, Witness and Facilities?
Are you willing to:
- Commit to a three-year term?
- Attend monthly meetings?
- Possibly attend additional committee meetings as determined by the Council?
- Attend a yearly retreat?
- Be an active listener?
- Work collaboratively to reach agreement/consensus decisions?
If you feel these qualities describe you, prayerfully consider if God is calling you to ministry on the Pastoral Council.
If you know another member of the parish with the qualifications, pray about suggesting their name.

Con varios miembros del Consejo Pastoral de la Parroquia de Santa Lucía llegando al final de su servicio en el Consejo Pastoral, estamos reclutando activamente para el papel de los miembros del Consejo Pastoral. El Consejo Pastoral es un cuerpo de feligreses interesados en representarte a ti, nuestro ‘Cuerpo de Cristo’, y las comunidades que conforman nuestra parroquia. Los miembros del consejo ayudan al personal de la parroquia con el desarrollo continuo de la Misión de Santa Lucía y al imaginar las formas de vivir esa misión. Con especial importancia es que actualmente nuestra gran y vibrante comunidad hispana no está bien representada en el consejo. Además, el consejo actual carece de representantes de los jóvenes y adultos jóvenes de nuestra parroquia. Para servir las grandes necesidades de la parroquia, estas situaciones deben abordarse.
¿Usted / o conoce a alguien que es:
- ¿Un católico bautizado?
- ¿Un miembro activo de la Parroquia Santa Lucia?
- ¿Al menos 16 años de edad?
- ¿Busca oportunidades para el crecimiento espiritual y la Comunidad de Santa Lucía?
- ¿Esta apasiona para ayudarnos a alcanzar las metas establecidas como resultado de la Encuesta Parroquial de 2017 en las áreas de Palabra, Adoración, Testimonio e Instalaciones de edificios?
Estás dispuesto a:
- ¿Comprometerse a un mandato de tres años?
- ¿Asistir a las reuniones mensuales?
- ¿Posiblemente asistir a reuniones adicionales del comité según lo determine el Consejo?
- ¿Asistir a un retiro anual?
- ¿Ser un oyente activo?
- ¿Trabajar en colaboración para alcanzar decisiones de acuerdo / consenso?
Si siente que estas cualidades lo describen, considere en oración si Dios lo está llamando al ministerio en el Consejo de Parroquia.
Si conoce a otro miembro de la parroquia con las calificaciones, ore para ver si debe ofrecer su nombre.
